Bereavement

The Bereavement Ministry remembers those who have gone before us marked with the sign of faith. The ministry extends support to those who are grieving and healing from the loss of their loved one.

Our ministry desires to reach out in the name of the parish to those who have suffered the death of a family member.

We hope to accomplish this by:

Sending a rose in a vase with card of parish sympathy and concern at the time of the wake.

Following this with a card of remembrance at three months, six months, and one year.

Being available for group or one-on-one visits, “just to listen.”

Sponsoring sharing sessions throughout the year for people who would find this kind of sharing helpful. This would be a group limited to ten persons or fewer and would be open to anyone in the Fairfield-Hocking Deanery.

Our Parish Bereavement Committee members are available for a phone call or visit to listen and offer support during your time of grief. Periodic Bereavement Sessions will be held at the parish for any individual or family to attend who is going through a difficult time after the death of a loved one.

Eternal rest, grant unto him O Lord and let perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace. Amen.

May his soul and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
